Cruce de Lagos®,
Since 1913

The story begins in 1913 when a group of tourists led by Ricardo Roth crossed the Andes Mountains along a route joining Peulla in the Chilean side with Bariloche in Argentina. Linking these two countries, CRUCE ANDINO® is born as an ecological adventure not to be missed.

Nowadays, it is an association of Chilean and Argentinian companies which together have a marketing office that promotes CRUCE ANDINO®, Lake crossing all over the world and helps tour operators to sell the product.

From Puerto Varas to Bariloche

Itinerary Cruce Andino® in 1 day (September 01st to April 30th)
One day travelling

08.30 AM Departures from Puerto Varas.

The tour will then follow to Petrohue, bordering Llanquihue Lake. Throughout the journey on route, you will be able to enjoy imposing sights of Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Entrance to Vicente Perez National Park, place in where you will visit the Petrohue falls, impressive volcanic rock shapes, in which the esmerald green water covers.

10.30 AM Set sail to Peulla, navegating Todos los Santos Lake, if the weather permits it you will keep on enjoying the scenery of Osorno and Puntiagudo Volcanoes and Tronador Hill.

12.15 PM Arrival to Peulla, ecological Village, paradise for the nature lovers. Here you will have lunch (not included).

02.00 PM We will board a bus with destination to Puerto Frias, Customs procedures to exit Chile and enter Argentina. We will cross the Andes Mountains at only 976 metres over sea level. We will start to go down road to Puerto Frías, and navigate through the lake that receives the same name: Lago Frias (Lake Frias) and head journey onto Puerto Alegre, place in where we will board a bus to Puerto Blest.

06.00 PM Depart from Puerto Blest, this will be our last navigation through Nahuel Huapi Lake with destination to Puerto Pañuelo, we will take a bus to do the last portion and destination to “The Argentinean city of Tourism”, San Carlos de Bariloche. City in which throughout the year fascinates the tourist with its Ski centre, commerce, hotels, restaurants and night life.

08.30 PM Arrival into Bariloche. End of our services.

Day 01

Dinner and overnight in Hotel Natura or Hotel Peulla (accommodation and dinner not included).

Day 02
09.00 AM We will board a bus with destination to Puerto Frias, Customs procedures to exit Chile and enter into Argentina. We will cross the Andes Mountains at only 976 metres over sea level. We will start to go down road to Puerto Frías, and navigate through the lake that takes the same name: Lago Frias (Lake Frias) and head journey onto Puerto Alegre, place in where we will board a bus to Puerto Blest. In Puerto Blest we will stop for lunch (not included).

03.00 PM Depart from Puerto Blest, this will be our last navigation through Nahuel Huapi Lake with destination to Puerto Pañuelo. Important
Lodging: Service from Puerto Montt/ Puerto Varas to Bariloche or vice versa can be interrupted in any portion, lodging more than one night and continue on the next day on the established schedule.
